Hello, my name is Kathryn Smith, and I like graphic design.

In fact, I like all SORTS of design. You can hear all about my work, and other things, via my Twitter account, @kathrynleeid. My speciality is graphic design, of course, and I like to design all sorts of things: web sites, blogs, Flash pages, brochures, books, annual research reports, event programs...but my favourite to design are web sites.

I am a graduate of Mount Royal University (in Calgary, Alberta) with two Bachelors in Applied Communications (Electronic Publishing and Technical Writing). My teachers were great, and many were working in the design industry at the same time they were teaching. I was also able to gain industry-specific work experience through directed field studies (similar to internships) during my classes. I am currently working for HireGround Software Solutions, and it's great!

I am a socially- and environmentally-concious individual. I love volunteering, and try what I can to help increase the positive influence I have with other people and the environment around me. I love trying to reflect that in my work.
