Project Description
As part of my degree, I took the Markets, Publications & Distributions course. In order to gain a better understanding of these three things, my group partner and I were to come up with a marketing solution for a charitable organization. In the end, we ended up creating a marketing and awareness campaign to promote one of Samaritan’s Purse’s International Aid projects - the “if” Campaign, which helps disadvantaged women living in poverty.
For this project, I had to do a lot of research on Samaritan’s Purse. My group partner, Megan, and I were able to create with a comprehensive marketing plan that involved distributing this brochure to people during the holiday season. I wanted to create a personal connection with the people, so we determined the brochures would be handed out my volunteers at the major Calgary malls in order to engage others to talk about the Samaritan’s Purse “if” Campaign and raise awareness of it.
In order to make the brochure cohesive with the rest of the “if” Campaign, I used the “if” Campaign branded colours, imagery, and logo. I kept the brochure a standard shape and size to keep it cost-effective and easily transportable.
